Recap on Chicago Safety & Sustainability Conference

on January 31, 2017

The Electrical Association presented the 2017 Chicago Safety & Sustainability Conference on January 19, 2017 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.  This conference is a table top tradeshow that allows manufacturers to show their latest products and services to over 600 industry professionals.  The event is primarily attended by Chicago’s Electrical and Building Industry, Building Owners and Managers, Local Municipalities, Electrical Inspectors, University and Hospital Planners, Engineers, Sustainable Energy Consultants, Construction Safety Managers and more.

The conference also provided educational programs that focused on the latest codes and standards, sustainability in construction and workplace safety.  Wheatland’s Chicago electrical sales team participated in the conference and had rave reviews about their participation.

Wheatland’s Chicago electrical sales team participated in this show.  Phil Racine, outside sales representative commented, “the show was productive, we had the opportunity to engage with a few of the younger electricians from Local 134 that will utilize our products in the field for years to come.”

“Overall the conference was well attended, the younger electricians were eager to check out our new products.  Most said that they would ask their supervisor if they could try them in the field.  Getting to the younger generation of electricians early on and introducing them to your products and explaining how they can benefit from them on their construction projects was a huge win” stated Mike Strawn, outside sales representative for the electrical division.
