Steel Elbows, Couplings & Nipples (EC&N) Have Always Been Essential

on April 30, 2020

We understand that consumers do have a choice and while many of our competitors have gone the route of shutting down their U.S. factories and sending jobs to China, we have stayed the course. We stood behind our hard-working employees and their families in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Illinois and continued to reinvest in our business and employees that drive it each day.

Our EC&N products are a critical component of North America’s  power and communication infrastructure supporting all essential businesses that must remain fully operational as many of the brave men and women of the healthcare industry (our heroes) stay on the front line to eradicate the China Virus throughout the U.S. and Canada.

In these uncertain times, Control is definitely key, from securing quality raw materials locally to delivering special radius elbows used by major utilities to bring power to new healthcare facilities so that they can start on schedule and remain fully operational.  In times like this, our employees continuously rise to the occasion to make our organization the industry leader in this space.

Today, we produce over 1,000 different SKUs and rely heavily on our strategic electrical distributor partners and electrical representatives to ensure that our products and support materials are in front of key consumers each day. We are extremely grateful to our employees that show up to work at our plants and make certain that the highest level of quality control is in place when products leave our facility. We are also very grateful for our manufacturer representatives and their dedicated employees that control product flow and, in some cases perform key warehousing functions to assure on time delivery.  The employees of our electrical distributors are essential in controlling the receipt, inventory and delivery of our materials guaranteeing that orders arrive on job-sites all hours of the day and night. Electrical contractors perform the last critical step of installing our products and assures full functionality of the electrical system. All key individuals mentioned are the real heroes of our supply chain as they continue to put their lives on the line every day to make it happen.

While control is key, having the right distributor partners and support networks in place ensures that our products are available when and where they are needed, this makes us proud to be an essential industry. We have production plants in North America, with state-of-the-art equipment, that allows us to turn on a dime and satisfy the immediate needs of our customers during these challenging times. I don’t believe our competitors can say the same about control and support when they outsource their production to 3rd party companies in China.

To our supply chain partners, who consider us essential, we are forever grateful and while we hope this pandemic is gone soon as we roll into the new normal, we hope you will consider us your partner of choice now and for years to come.
